This Privacy Policy describes how Ashentale (“we”, “the app”) handles your information. Ashentale is developed by Victor Bodinaud, an independent developer based in France.

Summary

Ashentale is designed with privacy at its core. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. Everything stays on your device.

Data We Collect

None. Ashentale does not collect any personal information. The app does not have user accounts, does not require registration, and does not track your activity.

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The app stores the following data locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework:

Scenarios you create (universe descriptions, characters, NPCs)
Game sessions and chat history
Downloaded AI models (GGUF files)
App preferences and settings

This data never leaves your device. You can delete all local data by uninstalling the app.

AI Models

AI models are downloaded from third-party servers (Hugging Face) and stored locally on your device. No data is sent to any server during AI inference — all text generation happens entirely on-device. The model download itself does not transmit any personal information.

In-App Purchases

In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, billing details, or Apple ID. Please refer to Apple’s Privacy Policy for how Apple handles purchase data.

Analytics and Crash Reporting

Ashentale does not include any analytics SDK or crash reporting framework. However, if you have opted into sharing diagnostics with Apple in your iOS Settings, Apple may collect anonymized crash reports and usage statistics. This is managed by Apple, not by us. Third-Party Services

Ashentale does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external network requests are:

Downloading AI model files from Hugging Face (huggingface.co)
Processing in-app purchases through Apple’s App Store

Children’s Privacy

Ashentale is rated 17+ and is not intended for use by children under 17. We do not knowingly collect information from children. The app may generate mature narrative content through AI text generation.

Since all data is stored locally on your device and we do not collect any personal data:

Right of access: You have full access to all your data within the app.
Right to rectification: You can edit your scenarios, characters, and sessions directly in the app.
Right to erasure: You can delete individual items in the app or uninstall the app to remove all data.
Right to data portability: Your data is stored on your device and accessible to you at all times.

Because we do not process personal data, there is no data processing to object to or restrict. If you have any questions or concerns, contact us at the email above. The relevant supervisory authority is the CNIL (Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertes).

The UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 provide UK residents with the same data protection rights as EU GDPR. Since we do not collect or process any personal data, the same principles apply: all your data is stored locally on your device, and you have full control over it.

The relevant supervisory authority is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Your Rights Under CCPA (California)

We do not sell personal information. We do not collect personal information. California residents have no data to request disclosure of, as no data is collected.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
